The guy at Home Depot said that they are not doing a cash for clunkers on old refrigerators, is that right?
With this article I will not try to spook anybody, although some people will. Nor will I try to look for an answer, because there is no a such, or at least not in level comprehensible enough for us. If ancient Mayan stargazers saw the inexplicable event several thousands years ago, and it did the medieval fortune-teller several hundreds years ago, but none of them have had the answer - what exactly is going to happen - how possibly could we?
I cannot imagine what kind of powers and scientific knowledge have to possess the Mayan astronomers, or the famous scholar Nostradamus in order to predict the exact date of such an event as the end of the world. Whatever they were - they both pinpointed very same date - December 21, 2012 and for both of them there is no continuation of the Calendar - in first case, and the Prediction of human's history - in the second, after the event they saw happened.
If we accept, that somehow they were right and the lining up of center of Universe, our Galaxy, our Sun and our Earth do cause shift of magnetic poles on the Earth - yes, then we could say, that this will be the end of the world as we know it. No, there will be no earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and enormous tsunamis. Or maybe there will be - I do not know. But what I know is, that there will be no TV, radio, Internet, cell phones, GPS-navigation - nothing we have today. We will be back technological in 18-th century. But as result of all mentioned above there will be no electric power and we will wake up in a dark. We will not be able to withdraw money from banks, because there are no more paper-based records of bank accounts. We will not be able to fuel up our car tanks, because we can't be able to pay for it at pumps, which work on electricity, which will be missing. We will not be able to purchase any food from grocery stores, because we keep at home cash enough just for 2-3 days, relaying on banks, and without electricity stores will not be able to process our payments from our bank accounts electronically. And because of lack of electricity all food stored in refrigerators will spoil in 3-4 days. More than that, we will not be able to grow and produce our food, or at least not in enough quantity to feed all of us.
How come no more Electricity!? No, we will not relay on using electric power in any form and way we use it today. Why? I will try to simplify my explanations in order to be easy to understand. All explanations of processes surrounding us are based on the Laws of Natural Physics explained first of Sir Isaac Newton and later of Albert Einstein. They are true and valid in the system of material world we know today. Now imagine, that in one moment the polarity of the system shifts and the plus becomes minus and the other way around. What that means? Just go and change polarity of battery in your car and try to start it - you can't. Even easier - open the remote control of your TV and switch the polarity of batteries inside - remote control doesn't work anymore! Actually is not so simple. Let me try this way. If you want to use European electric device in America - you can't! Why? Not just because of difference in their voltage, but also because of different frequency they use. The point is not in the frequency - 50 or 60 Hz - the numbers of the perpendicular electric and magnetic fields per second, the point in this case is - where in the system of oscillation now will be the Plus (above line of wave propagation) and where the Minus (below line of wave propagation). It won't work that way! So, we are back in Pre-Electric Era!
The result of all mentioned above will be indescribable chaos and terror, which at some point could be called end of the world. And Mayans, and Nostradamus repeat one word - famine. Why? We will not be able to feed ourselves with the technology and means we will have after the event.
And there is nothing we can do, to avoid that.
But then again - who said, that lining up of the centers of Universe, Galactic, Sun and Earth leads to Magnetic field shift of Earth or of Galaxy, or maybe something else...?

What do you think? ;)

2012...what do you think?
my refrigerator is dying and i need a new one to replace it.I don't have the cash for it now.any idea what to do?

is it better to save for a refrigerator or rent to own it?
I let my best friend and her boyfriend stay with me three months ago, and my husband disapproved of it at first any how but he accepted it because of me. Now she don't work and neither does he (she does have income though). We just found out she's pregnant last month now. Her who boyfriend refuse to work because he's prejudice (an a**hole) eat like there is no meal tomorrow. Let me state fact's:
1. my mortgage is $677 a month.
2.Memphis light gas and robbers(water) are killing us with $200-300 light bills.
3. Comcast cable was $75 month but now $115 because they order movies and stuff.
4. I get government assistance(food stamps) and thats really only enough for me, my daughter and my husband. And i fill up my refrigerator and in two weeks $300 gone (give or take two days). They only give me Two hundred dollars a month, I said that's fine and long as you save up some money to get your own place in six months. So i go and take her to open an account and instead of her saving money she began to write bad checks. I brought it to my husbands attention and not only because of that but cause her boyfriend cashed a check in my name. My husband told them they had to leave for more than one reason
1. The man won't get a JOB( when my husband leaves for work at 5 her boyfriend is sleep and when my husband get off he's sleep).
2. He say they are not trying to help themselves.
3. we are really beginning to feel used.
4. they don't work won't half clean and just have these i'm on top of the world attitudes.
a few other things but i bet ya'll get the picture...
Now they only pay $200 a month and that ain't a third of the bills we have t face an they do everything we do in the house, the only difference is they are there 24/7. They had everything the could want and need here and my husband said maybe they are just to comfortable with everything being already here for them.
so when the left he asked for half of the rent back and i told them no because i feel like i deserve it. NOW, LOOK AT MY BILLS VERSUS WHAT THEY GIVE ME EVERY MONTH and they have the nerve to ask me for some money back not even trying to be low down or anything but come on now. So she is mad cause they had to leave sooner than i said so, but i had already told her that the only way she and him could stay was they save their money and someone get a job cause lord knows you can't live off of social security. So as it stands now she is mad, pregnant and in a f***ed up situation that i can't help her with anymore. And then on top of that the guy has other women calling my house for him like that's just cool, she'll cry on my shoulder while he's gone but when he's around she act like she don't want to say something to him. Now 674-200=474 you get this check on the first and by the third you are broke WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON. Then my husband order a PS3 off of ebay and they shipped it but when we got home it wasn't there and let them tell it- it never came. So on top of all that- that's what really cut the cake with my husband because he's is an extreme game freak. Help me out, how to feel what to think.
Because in some ways i feel he's done them wrong in some ways i don't because instead pf helping themselves they are hendering themselves by getting further and further in debt writing bad checks and stuff. I can't(won't ) report it cause she is my "friend."

SEE WHAT I MEAN NOW

my best friend is mad cause my husband told her and her boyfriend to move out.?
I work for a failing restaurant in NC. When I started I was being paid $5.50/hour to deliver pizza/pasta, which I thought was strange because all my other delivery jobs were required to pay us minimum wage. Then this week they decided to cut EVERYONE'S pay by 15%, without telling us. We had worked an entire week for 15% less unknowingly. I printed out the statute stating that we had to have 24 hours written notice for this to happen, and they said (in a slip placed in each of our paychecks) we would be reimbursed the following Monday, and that the pay cut would go into effect immediately.(Immediately? I thought we had 24 hours?)
That takes my pay down to $4.67/hour. For this $4.67/hour they also expect me to work prep shifts, where there are no deliveries, and all I do is prep food for the store.
My boyfriend also works there and has not received an actual paycheck, just cash, in 3 weeks. He has asked several times for an actual paycheck so he can keep track. The cash he got reflects a 15.5% pay cut! The owners refuse to answer any of our phone calls (no one has actually met these people in real life) and the only response has been a rude 3 sentence email placed on the refrigerator saying that if we have a problem receiving our paycheck at 7pm (they are supposed to be there at 2pm, on Friday, so we have time to cash them before the weekend) then to take it up with the labor board.
ALSO, they have 5 illegal immigrants working there, being paid under the table, making well over what any of us are making.
I know I need to contact the Dept. of Labor, but they aren't open until Monday.
Any information, or links to the correct statutes or anything of relevance would be very helpful.
Thank You

Delivery Driver paid less than minimum wage...Legal in NC?
My mother paid to have my grandmother's house fixed for us to live in. My grandmother died 6/7/08 and we moved into the house 9/4/08. We agreed to take care of everything all the bills & repairs and pay $400 a month until we reached $20,000 and we would own the house. The house is a mini mansion and more house than we've ever had. It has been more difficult than we thought. But the house is completely paid for. My Gram paid the house off maybe 15-20 years ago. I have 3 kids and a husband. We moved into the house to help my mom out and so we would not have to pay alot of rent, but sometimes things get difficult and I may not always have the whole $400, I may have $200 and I always try to give her some cash every week. Now all she does is badger me for cash she wanted me to pay $500 a month at one time, she comes in and immediately complains about the electric and stuff like that She even unplugged my refrigerator because she thought I had too much stuff plugged into one socket. If it's supposed to be my house that's what I working towards, than let me do what i need to do without all the aggravation. Am I wrong to feel like this?
I don't feel like I should have to take care of the house and keep her life afloat as well. Since my Gram died she is missing out on some supplemental cash, but that's not my fault I have a family to care for as well, basically it's just her.

Am I wrong to feel this way?
AM I GONA GET CAUGHT FOR STEALING FISH?
Ok, so today was a crazy day for me, I had a photo shoot that went really unexpected and i ended up hiking around in the woods with a perverted "photographer" for hours. and BARELY made it to work.

I didnt eat ANYTHING all day. not one bite. I was starving by 5:00 when i had to start work. but it was complete chaos in the restaurant and so busy i had to put my hunger aside and work nonstop. well it continued to be busy until 11:00 at night at which time i clocked out and tried to order some food.

well the kitchen was closed and i was STARVING!

i also had no money and no food at home (i have been very broke and strapped for cash lately)
so i did the first thing that i could think of at the spur of the moment (my stomach was telling me do whatever i needed to do to feed myself!)

and i went in the walk-in refrigerator and i saw some fillets of salmon (small ones) in a container, so i grabbed one and put it in my purse.

my question is:

DO WALK- IN REFRIGERATORS HAVE SECURITY CAMERAS???????????????

am i going to get in trouble?????wow. someone is a little bitter about their life. mz breezy maybe u could get face surgery and u will have higher self confidence n wont have 2 write pointless and immature messages on yahoo answers

AM I GONA GET CAUGHT FOR STEALING FISH?
I worked at the bakery for 7 months and I just quit. I quit because the owner/manager of the bakery is very unorganized and haven't paid us since the beginning of February. The owner/manager would leave work as soon as I get in, so I would be at the Bakery by myself for 6 hours (1pm-7pm) which means I closed the bakery? On the weekends the manager/owner opens up the bakery and wait for the weekend bakery clerk to come in then leave, so the weekend bakery clerk has to work all day by herself, sometimes I come in if she has other things to do in the evening, but is this normal? Working as a Bakery Clerk we filled the trays and refrigerators with baked goods, filled customers orders, work the cash register, clean the store( wash trays, sweep, mop, vacuum, dump the pastries and other baked goods), do the shift report and contact customers when their cake orders were ready, closed the bakery at night, etc. How do I explain my job duties when applying for another job, I find it hard because I was not a manager, supervisor, or key holder. Please help a very confused person. Thank You!

Do most bakeries leave their bakery clerks to run and lock up the bakery? would I be considered a manager?

I am currently living with a friend of mine that I have known for over 11 years. She is the only one on the lease because she qualifies for a government bond. We have lived together for a year and I realized that I can't handle it. She has a dog that she allows to relieve itself all over the balcony where the washer and dryer is, she is loud when she and her boyfriend have sex, and she never reimburses me for driving her to the bank, grocery store, and to work (she doesn't drive). I decided to move in with my boyfriend and told her that I was expecting to move out on April 1st; this would give her more than enough time to find a roommate. Because she was struggling with money, I gave her March's rent. I expected it to be pro-rated if I moved out prior to April 1st. Because of the poor economy, one would take advantage of the opportunity to rent the perfect place for a great cost. And that's exactly what happened. On February 9th I found my perfect apt! The move in date is February 20th. I explained to my current roommate that I was giving her a 30 day notice. I explained that she could keep my $250 security deposit, the washer/dryer, the refrigerator, and the kitchen table. She told me that I was screwing her over because she wouldn't have enough time to find a new roommate. 30 days, who needs more time than that? She cashed my March's rent and won't return it. What can I do?

I need help with a roommate issue?
When my boyfriend and I got our own house together, his parents offered to put our new washer, dryer, refrigerator, and a few other things on their credit card because their interest rates were lower. Therefore, we've been gradually paying them back (ON TIME) every month. Thing is, they wait sometimes over a month without cashing our checks. It's driving me nuts.

I'm one of those people who have my checkbook balanced down to the penny and the extra money we have "hovering" in our accounts is making me crazy.

Am I overreacting? Is there any good way to bring this up with them or is it a sore subject? I'm seriously considering paying cash from now on, but I hate having a large amount of cash on me all at once. What gives?
