A dell financial services contract?
I'm just wondering if I have to stick to the £10 per month for 36 months thing etc... or can i pay more off of the loan if i wanted to?

buying dell laptop using financial services ?
Ok..I have Dell Financial Services suing me for $7000 dollars. I am 20 years old and has the family member I was living with pass away so now i'm on my own. I have a lot of extra expenses that I have to take care of. I fell about 180 days past due on my account. This collection agency "Valentine and Kebartas Inc" is suing me for the amount owed on my Dell Preferred Account. I had tried to make arrangements...but they wanted $2,500 upfront before they would even consider arrangements...then the outstanding balance would have to be paid within 3 months after that. That isn't currently an option for me.

Here's my bills:

Rent: 450/mo
Phone 100/mo
Insurance 130/mo
Food 70/mo
Power 90/mo
Fuel for work: 200/mo
Car PMT 358/mo

That's $1398 a month for bills WITHOUT paying my creditors

I currently clear after taxes about $1000 a month.

I have to borrow the remaining balance from friends, family, etc.

I was wondering, can they garnish my wages based on that? I dont even make disposable income. I have NOTHING that I own "car, house, etc" so there's nothing for me to take.

Also the guy from Valentine told me that they could take my car....I tried telling him that it isnt technically mine since i'm paying on it but he told me in return "sir, there's nothing you can do...there's ways for us to collect our debt even if you file bankruptcy!". I cannot afford a lawyer to even file bankruptcy.

I was wondering if the lawsuit would possibly turn in my favor.

Thanks so much.

If you file bankruptcy on a Dell Financial Services Account, can they take your Dell computer away from you?
To buy a laptop for $816.21 that would come out to 25 dollars a month?

Is the Dell Financial Services a good idea?
I applied online with Dell computers for their line of credit, they informed me that I had been approved for their $2,500 line of credit with an 18 month "interest free" grace period on my purchases.

Once I made my "purchase" online they sent me my first statement a week after I received my computer, in the statement they declared that I was being charged 27% interest!

I immediately called Dell to complain about their "Bait and Switch" tactics, and to inform them of my desire to return the computer and cancel my account/balance. They refused and laughed at the idea of anyone getting the better of them!

Anyone else suffered at the hands of Dell? Any solutions to their illegal tactics (illegal in Texas)?Yes I printed "MY" offer of the interest free period. However, as Dell has just recently signed agreements with the USPS to provide some 30,000 computers..........this makes them one of, if not THE largest provider of computers to the Federal Government. And as we all know......El Presidente Bush has done his level best to destroy any vestiges of "fairness" from ANY sector of the Federal Government to private individuals.

I am not very optimistic for any kind of favorable solution as long as Dell enjoys their "protected status" under the current administration.

Anyone else been "ripped off" by Dell Financial Services?

What do you think the Fico Score is based on this info...?
I placed an order back in september with dell for 2 computers under a 6 month interest free option. The person on the phone reassured me that it definately WAS an interest free option and all I had to pay was a £40 administration fee if I were to pay it off before the 6 months was up, even though the finance document referred to some sort of 'deferred loan'. Now the time has come to pay off the balance which was supposed to be £1748.00. I called up dell financial services yesterday and they are now telling me that the balance has gone up to £1900.84. They are trying to con me. What can I do about this?

What can i do if I have been mis-sold a product by dell?
I called Dell financial services and they said that it is not possible, but they also said that my Dell Preferred account is just like a credit card account, which made me think that balance transfer should be possible. If anyone has done this, please let me knowfor pathfinder: they only accept checking account as paying method. Also my credit card gives me 0% APR only for balance transfers or cash advance, not for purchases (I guess it would be considered a purchase, if it was possible to pay with credit card)

Can I transfer a balance from my Dell Preferred Account to another credit card?
Can anyone give me the number for dells financial services, the number i was given multiple times by Dell is 08709070173, which appears to be wrong.

I cant call the one on there dfs website because i have a differant account apparently.
